Visit real working artists in Aloha Oregon

Come visit the vibrant art community of Aloha Oregon. 7 local artists will be opening their art studios to the public this October.

This is your opportunity to meet the creatives that live and work right in your neighborhood.

Ever wondered what an artist’s studio really looks like? Whether it’s a garage workspace, a cozy corner of a home, or a full creative loft, each studio holds its own story. This October, the Washington County Artists’ Open Studios Tour invites you to step inside these hidden creative worlds. For one weekend only—October 17–18—the Aloha Art Pod features seven local artists opening their doors and sharing the spaces where imagination becomes real.

An open studio is more than a visit. It’s part behind‑the‑scenes tour, part community celebration, and part conversation between artist and guest. Visitors can wander at their own pace, discovering finished pieces, works in progress, sketches, experiments, and the beautifully chaotic process that fuels creativity. Ask questions, watch demonstrations, and purchase artwork directly from the artists, and every dollar goes straight to the creator.

Studios in the Aloha Art Pod range from home studios to garage setups to shared creative spaces, each reflecting the unique way these seven studios work. Expect a mix of painters, sculptors, ceramicists, fabric weavers and more. Some studios may even offer refreshments or special discounts.

This tour is perfect for art lovers, families, collectors, students, and anyone curious about how art is made. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or stepping into a studio for the first time, the Aloha Art Pod offers an inviting, accessible way to experience Washington County’s creative heartbeat.

The Aloha Art Pod will also be doing an art passport. Pick up your passport at Caroline's, Sheila's, Cynthia's or Ana's studios, collect stamps and enter for a chance to win a gift basket full of great prizes!

So Whose On The Tour?

Sheila Meserschmidt-  An artist creating fiber tapestries that echo painted canvases, drawing viewers in with bold color, texture, and detail—where realism meets a hint of whimsy.  “My process includes free-motion thread painting to build depth. I pair it with hand painting for delicate passages like skin and hair, and I use sharp and soft edges plus unexpected fabric patterns to shift perception—like a playlist that moves across genres.” https://www.skm-art.com/

Caroline Green a professional artist, muralist, and owner of Paint & Sip Portland. Her acrylic paintings use rich layering techniques to create intriguing abstract realistic depictions of birds as messengers of political, cultural, and personal stories. Her images are rich in both color, texture and meaning. www.carolinegreenart.com and www.paintandsipportland.com

Cynthia Jeffery - An expressive plein air landscape oil painter, including still-lifes and figure paintings.  Cynthia has painted in many landscapes from her back garden to the Colombia river gorge. Her style is expressive and colorful. https://cjeffrey.faso.com/

Golden Roads- A shared studio space for artists who work alone. This home was converted into a working studio space for multiple artists.  They even offer classes for children! https://www.goldenroadarts.org/

K &M Studio- Home studio and gallery space with multi-media art presented by 2 artists. Michael Denning and Kathy Marie provide a whimsical space with animatronic toys to interact with, acrylic paintings, sculptures, drawings, stickers and more. https://www.instagram.com/mojagkat

Neerajana Rai -  A mixed media oil painting artist who paints nature in my own unique style, breaking barriers of realism and presenting my vision and version of “Abstract realism” with textures and bright colors on canvas spreading calm and positivity.

Ana Quinn – A ceramicist who creates  bowls, platters, cups, as well as imaginary pieces.
