Hillsboro is buzzing with creativity this summer, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be one of the artists featured in the 2025 Summer Art Showcase, presented by the Washington County Art Alliance and the City of Hillsboro. If you love supporting local art, discovering new talent, or simply enjoying a beautiful, inspiring outing, this is the perfect event for you.

And the best part? It’s completely free.

What You’ll Experience

The Summer Art Showcase features over 100 pieces of artwork created by more than 50 local artists, including emerging creators from the WCAA mentorship program. It’s a vibrant, diverse celebration of the artistic talent growing right here in Washington County.

You can explore the exhibit across two Hillsboro library locations, each offering a unique experience:

Brookwood Library — A stunning hallway gallery on the second floor filled with two‑dimensional works, plus select three‑dimensional pieces.
Shute Park Library — A dynamic display of pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and mixed media, along with work from emerging artists.

Visit both spots for the full showcase. Each location highlights different mediums and perspectives.

Save the Date: Artist Reception

Mark your calendar for the Artist Reception on August 7th from 5:00–7:30 PM at Brookwood Library. It’s a wonderful chance to meet the artists (come say hi!), ask questions, and connect with the creative community that makes Hillsboro such a special place.
